The UAE-Saudi Business Council convened here today for the first time in the presence of more than 40 business people from the two countries to facilitate the continuous interaction between the business sectors and increase trade and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
Abdalla Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry & Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the first meeting of the council adds to the robust long-standing relations between the two fraternal nations that are currently witnessing rapid and multifaceted progress on all fronts.
The Business Council has been established to facilitate the exchange of information on economic conditions, market and investment opportunities, while strengthening ties and agreements in the sectors of economic and industrial cooperation and submitting proposals and studies to the relevant authorities in the two countries to improve and support economic cooperation and contribute to overcoming the difficulties and obstacles facing trade and investment between the business sector in the two countries.
For his part, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, who is leading the Saudi side in the Council, said that the Saudi delegation to the meeting are determined to explore fresh avenues for collaboration with the UAE business sectors, hoping that the results of this meeting will lead to the implementation of innovative ideas, and projects between the two nations.
